Personal journey.

It’s The Journey That’s Important.

Life, sometimes so wearying
Is worth its weight in gold
The experience of traveling
Lends a wisdom that is old
Beyond our ‘living memory’
A softly spoken prayer:

“It’s the journey that’s important,
Not the getting there!”

Ins and outs and ups and downs
Life’s road meanders aimlessly?
Or so it seems, but somehow
Leads us where we need to be,
And being simply human
We oft question and compare…

“Is the journey so important
Or the getting there?”

And thus it’s always been
That question pondered down the ages
By simple men with simple ways
To wise and ancient sages…
How sweet then, quietly knowing
Reaching destination fair:

“It’s the journey that’s important,
Not the getting there!”

By John McLeod

My journey today is to find some where for just me and my camera, somewhere perhaps with a sense of peace and solitude, whether it be a park with trees, birds and water or a big town or city crowded by thousands of people…’s time to lose myself among my surroundings and my thoughts. Its time to be kind to myself.

It doesn’t matter where you are in any part of the world….take a ‘personal journey’ in your life today. Why not do something you have been wanting to do for ages, but always find a reason not to. Even if its to sit at home and let your mind wander out and about, be good to yourself, why not inspire yourself!!

Have a great day everyone, and many thanks for stopping by.

Have a good day

  1. I think this is a great post. Inspire yourself and you will inspire your mind and creativity – Great advice for writers and anyone looking to nurture themselves – That is what we should all be doing.
